I'm going to write about my recently bought "Marquis'd" MAC lipstick, from their wonder woman line - so yes it came with the wonder woman packaging and everything.
Since I'm going to be writing about lipstick, I have a few tips for those of you with dry, chapped lips. When you don't take care of your lips, it may end up looking like this...
I don't even think this is chapped lips anymore. Gross, gross, gross. |
So let's avoid this. There are a few things that you could do - this also works before putting on any lipstick to achieve the cleanest, neatest, smoothest look possible...
1. Exfoliate
Exfoliating your lips is easy! For one, while you're brushing your teeth in the morning, gently brush your lips in small, circular motion (not your whole lip at once, bottom then top or vice-versa - be reasonable). This will help get rid of dry, chapped skin that's peeling off. You can also use a towel and gently rub your lips to exfoliate them. NEVER BITE THEM OFF. It's painful and you look like you've been in a catfight with all that blood and scab. Plus it's painful to smile :(
2. Balm it up
After exfoliating your lips, put some lip balm on it and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. This will help give your lips that extra smoothness and make it happy, healthy and ready for lipstick application! Leaving it overnight will also make it nice and smooth in the morning. I use this "The Face Shop's Plus+1 Lipcare Cream with Vitamin". It smells like oranges and does wonder to my lips.
3. Dehydrate
This is pretty simple and straightforward. If your lips are chapped, you're probably dehydrated. DRINK SOME WATER. Eight glass a day is recommended but you could always go over that :) Keep your body and skin radiant and toxin-free.
So moving on to the actual product...

Tammie.
