Playing Dress Up Doesn't Make You A Child

Scrutiny: a prolonged intense look; the act of examining something closely

How I long to live in a big city where dressing like this will not attract as much attention as it would. I'd love to say I'm one of those people that just goes out wearing something outrageous and be fine with it as long as "I felt good about myself", but unfortunately I'm not. Under the scrutinizing eye of the public I get sweaty hands and my cheeks gets really hot and I feel terrible. So all I can do is secretly dress up in something I wished I wore even though the real outfit was something so average it's not even funny. I only have the guts to dress up like this to go to dinner or when I'm in Jakarta, but here in Hanoi? Never. Then again, it might all just be in my imagination and no one's actually paying me any attention.
