The Wedding

QUICK UPDATE:
Hi guys! I haven't updated for like 10 days or so and I'm so sorry. The wedding was a couple days ago and I caught a fever right after so I didn't write but I feel better today so I will finally post :) Here are a few pictures from the wedding so this will be more of a photo blog but an outfit post will be coming soon!

Who Says Baggy Jeans Are Only For Boys?

Baggy: not fitting closely; hanging loosely; "baggy trousers"; "a loose-fitting blouse is comfortable in hot weather"
"Are you sure those pants are your size?"
"Why are you wearing pants that are too big for you?"

Haha, some of the reactions I got for wearing these jeans but they were made to look baggy. They're exactly my size, but the crotch/back seam is lower. I've always wanted to get myself a pair of boyfriend jeans or baggy jeans but could never find one that was the perfect size until now! Thank you Zara for creating amazing pants (that fit).

(Topshop petite scallop vest top, Zara baggy jeans, Zara heels)

Perfect amount of sagging on the back, so it doesn't look too baggy.

I love travelling to new places, I just don't like the process of it. Do you know how tiring it is to travel? Airport transits, airplane food, everything is such a big hassle and it tires me out so much (or maybe since I do it so many times in a year it's not even funny) but seriously. I wish there was a one-way plane ride to every country in the world so we don't have to transit. You know what else I hate? That you need to pretty much strip naked, take out all the contents in your bag, put all of them in separate freaking containers because who knows I might have explosive mentos or something just to get on the freaking plane, put all my watery liquids in a plastic bag that can't weigh more than a feather. THANK YOU TERRORISTS, I hope you're happy now that you've revolutionized airport security. I guess better safe than sorry huh? Sorry for this rant but I just flew back to Hanoi yesterday and realized how much I hated it (being in airports all day). I can't imagine how my friends deal with it when they go back to their home countries halfway around the world. I usually only take half a day to get to Jakarta. Imagine people going to the USA or Europe.

Love how there's a giant suspending digital clock after every meter or so.

Who knew my balcony provides the most beautiful natural lighting for pictures (that actually sounds so obvious it's dumb),

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Cheongsam: The cheongsam is a body-hugging (modified in Shanghai) one-piece Chinese dress for women; the male version is the changshan. It is known in Mandarin Chinese as the qípáo Wade-Giles ch'i-p'ao, and is also known in English as a mandarin gown.

Starting off the lunar new year with a dash of red cheongsam and casual, baggy jeans. Didn't want to overdress, but didn't want to underdress either. How is everyone's day going? Mine consisted of going around to meet the family and getting lucky money - angpao. A lot of what I got will go right into my savings which is a surprise since I always spend most of the money I get from Chinese New Year but this year I really do have to start saving up some money.

(Traditional Silk Cheongsam shirt, Zara baggy jeans, Louis Vuitton rose bag, Zara blue heels)

I haven't worn one of these since a long time ago and I forgot how beautiful the details can be. The gold against the yellow and the silk... Well a huge reminder of my Chinese heritage.

I love these blue suede heels I got from Zara. They're a really comfortable height - one of my shortest heels - so I can wear them for a long period of time without feeling like my toes are going to fall off.

So I wish everyone a wonderful year full of good health and fortune (SO CHINESE RIGHT NOW), GONG XI FA CAI EVERYONE!

Leather Dresses and Red Hair.

Mahogany: reddish brown: a shade of brown with a tinge of red.

Technically, the hair bit should be mahogany because yes, I dyed it mahogany. I also wore a two-tone leather dress for my "late birthday" dinner yesterday.

(Zara black cardigan, Zara two-tone leather dress, unbranded wedges)

Dressed in all black but tomorrow will be the first day of chinese new year, so please do expect some colors!

Love,
Tammie.

Tory Burch.

Flats: footwear (shoes or slippers) with no heel (or a very low heel)

I finally got around to wearing my new Tory Burch flats. It's not the usual black/gold ones, I couldn't find them! These are the snake skin ones, which I thought wasn't all that bad. I need to get the black/gold ones though.

MAC Me Up.

Harass: annoy continually or chronically; "He is known to harry his staff when he is overworked"; "This man harasses his female co-workers".

I continually do harass (pictures, make up, modelling) my sister especially when I need help with the blog - not sure if I should have admitted to that just now. I feel like such a bad sister now since I just used my 8 years old sister as a model for this post on MAC blush. To be fair, I did it really quickly and used make up remover as thoroughly as I could and told her to wash her face (which I supervised as well) afterwards. I sure hope it won't affect her soft baby skin. Also, she was enjoying herself being made over. So yes, please comment on this post to not let her efforts be in vain.

Well basically I just compared my 2 blushes, one being a rosier tint and the other being a more natural tone (darker brown):

Left: No blush, Right: Blush
Can you tell the difference? I think a darker tone really defines your cheekbones when applied properly. I'm not sure if I did, but the picture on the right is the result.
GINGERLY Sheertone Blush M.A.C

I'Left: Blush, Right: No Blush.
Not sure if it shows up really well in the picture, but this is the rosier blush. It's a shimmer brush, so I guess you could use it to highlight your cheekbones or "the apple of your cheeks". It looked great on my sister because of her fair skin... Although she won't be using any of this stuff anytime soon.

Not sure what the point of this post was,

In More Ways Than One.

Earmuffs:Earmuffs are objects designed to cover a person's ears for protection or warmth.

I've had this plaid jacket for a while now, and experimenting with those frequently worn harem pants of mine, I decided to mix it up with a cropped jacket. I wish I had a tighter belt so I could keep those pants up higher so the jacket would completely cover the shirt (so it's not like red plaid, white shirt and pants.. Just red plaid and pants, you know?) Meh. Note for next time. Anyways, the red plaid jacket really matched my red tote bag and my red socks (if you can see them).

(Forever 21 red plaid cropped jacket, Zara "Intellectual Moustache" shirt, Zara harems, Le Sport Sac red plaid tote, Accessorize penguin earmuffs, Forever 21 oxfords)

PENGUIN EARMUFFS ARGH.
Aren't those the cutest things EVAR? Bought them for the sake of it. It was on "final reduction" sale - down to almost 75-80% or something. It's not even warm or anything and I think it's for little kids, but WHAT THE HECK. I'll give it to my kids when I get around to having some. Or my sister.
Talking about my sister, she had her little "disco party" in school today and I had to go take her. I didn't want to change outfits or anything, I mean it was a short trip there and back, so I just changed the accessories and shoes. I want to one day just wear the same outfit and "change" it at least 3-4 times so they look different but they're the same you know? Haha that probably didn't make any sense. I'll just show you when I do the post.

Blurry, artistic accidental pictures FTW.

These wedges are slowly becoming a favorite.

If you haven't noticed already, I'm really going to simplify this feature. I'll just provide the most minimal information as I think that the important thing about these posts is the outfit itself and the personal style. I think it's up to you (readers) to interpret it the way you want to - and maybe comment if you do have any questions :)
