Words Aren't Sticks and Stones

Hater: a person who hates

I'm leaving to Indonesia tomorrow (early break) and I also have GIN over at the Jakarta International School for 3 days. Then I'm staying for the next week for spring break. It will be a super packed week since I have OODLES of work to do, but I will try to blog as much as I can... but if not, I hope you guys can patiently wait for my next posts after break :)

The weather got from wonderful to absolute crapper again today, drizzly, miserable and gloomy. It's horrible! I feel sickly and tired because of the weather. The tropical weather should be a nice change!

It won't even really be much of a break, here's my task list for the next month or so:

SATs on the 7th and then end of year exams 4 days after. Dream come true.

This is a totally random rant but I hate haters (does that make me a hater? HAHA). They purposely go out of their way to try and piss someone off on purpose so they can achieve... Um, I don't know... a sense of temporary fulfillment or sense of pride about themselves. Listen, if you don't like it, close your eyes. Don't want to hear it, block your ears. It's not that hard, and for one, I don't care about what insensitive remarks you have to say because you don't matter.

Au revoir,
Tammie.

The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side

Wonder woman: Wonder Woman is a DC Comics superheroine created by Dr. William Moulton Marston (Psy.D.)

Sorry for not posting yesterday. I'm going through a lazy/tired/whatever week and I just haven't really been feeling like going around taking pictures :(

IT IS FREEZING HERE. It should get warmer very soon (I think I've said this about 100 times this last month already), but right now I'm just at that mindset where if the weather gets warmer, everything is that much more better. It's been drizzling - yes, drizzling - for two days straight now and it's so humid. I should be used to weather like this but even if I was, its still horrible.

MAC's new wonderwoman collection is out today in the local MAC shop here so I'm going to go stock up on some cosmetics tomorrow! Their wonderwoman collection is very lively, so I'm really looking forward to getting some for myself :)

Rainy Days

Condensation: atmospheric moisture that has condensed because of cold

After having warm temperatures for a bit, the temperature dropped again - about 10 degrees. There was a crazy storm yesterday which cooled down the weather considerably so now its back to jackets, tights and whatnot (not that it was ever gone).

There were some heavy condensation going on for a while because of the drastic change in temperature, so I made pretty window doodles. The raindrops and condensation really gives a frosty effect which is so lovely, but of course its not REALLY frosty.

I've also recently just joined a hypeed competition to win a gift card to shop at Luisaviaroma! I'd really appreciate if you guys could vote for my contribution, although I'm pretty sure I wont win. Just something I thought I'd try :) There's a widget on the sidebar that says Hypeed.com, and if you guys click on "my contributions" it'll take you to the page. Thanks in advance!

Spring is on a sick leave.

Sick leave: a leave of absence from work because of illness.

Although it's pretty sunny today, its still windy and chilly (at 20 C). I swear it was spring last week already and now it's getting all cold again. I put this (winter outfit) on this morning thinking that I could do a winter look and a spring look (but went with the winter look because it was really cold this morning).
I'm going to show both look, so this post might be a bit of photo spamming.

THE WINTER LOOK
(Forever 21 sweater, Zara belt, floral high waist shorts, Zara ankle boots)

THE SPRING LOOK
(unbranded crop top, high-waisted floral shorts, dorothy perkins denim heels, unbranded floral fedora)

I love these new pants I got. They're really versatile, they work so well with a lot of things and I can do a lot of things with it. Also, tomorrow I'm going to my school's annual fieldtrip/camp trip so I will be MIA for a while (until Friday). See you guys then!

I really need to stop talking about the weather,

Tartan'd

Unpredictable: Unknown in advance.

Due to the unpredictable weather, I have to step out on my balcony every morning to do a weather check. This morning was: pelted in the rain by cold, wet rain while being blinded by the mist. So that's always pleasant.

I haven't worn this dress in the longest time. The tartan skirt really reminds me of autumn. It got chilly again, so I'm wearing coats and tights and boots and whatnot. I love these red socks but I can't find anything to wear them with other than my coat. So I'm taking this chance to wear my red coat again (with the socks and the fuzzy boots).

(Unbranded babydoll red coat, Forever 21 tartan dress, Sox gallery red knee socks, unbranded fuzzy leather boots)

Over Exposure Pictures Are Terrible In a Good Way.

Over Exposured Photographs: when there is too much light getting to the light sensor of the film. The results of over exposure is a photograph looking very pale and washed out.

Well they're terrible because your photograph is pretty much white, with faint outlines of the object in the shot. They're terrible because they make your skin look washed out. They're terrible because the sky then blends in with your face.

They're good because when you edit their contrast you may be able to come up with decent pictures. They're good because they just give an artsy outline of everything in your pictures. They're good because you can't see the imperfections on your face, and anywhere else. They're good because they bring out the color of your hair.

This is why you should always check the settings on your camera after taking the first shot, especially if your photographer is a 9 year old little girl.

Here's a couple decent ones that show off the pieces, if you guys want to take a look in more detail.

(Unbranded black cotton blazer, Topshop vest top, Zara harems, Louboutin Heels, Topshop shopper bag)

I've been wanting these for the longest time, and they were on sale the other day so naturally I got them.

Featured Look - 1/27/2011 Phuong Tran

FEATURED LOOK

Name: Phuong Tran
Age: 16 years old
Nationality: Vietnamese

If you haven't noticed already, I'm really going to simplify this feature. I'll just provide the most minimal information as I think that the important thing about these posts is the outfit itself and the personal style. I think it's up to you (readers) to interpret it the way you want to - and maybe comment if you do have any questions :)

Ciao,

Change It Up, Yo.

Change: cause to change; make different; cause a transformation.

I don't know if you guys have been watching the new American Idol auditions but I really liked this one guy who was in the middle of singing Somewhere over the rainbow and said "Change it up" in the middle of it and he was SO GOOD. Anyways, I changed the layout of my blog :) hahahaha and a little copyright note at the bottom! Woohoo!

Fancy Footwork.

Footwork: the manner of using the feet.

The title of this post actually has almost nothing to do with the post itself. It's just because I'm currently listening to the song Fancy Footwork by Chromeo and I'm feeling pretty uninspired. Haha.
Today was another chilly day, so I wore my harems again with the military jacket. I love how the two pieces go with each other.

(Zara military crop jacket, Zara peterpan collared shirt, Zara harems, Forever 21 oxfords)

That MUJI hoop knit scarf is so unbelievably warm.

I wore my forever 21 grey suede oxfords because I feel like it was an interesting add to the outfit. I really feel like a little boy wearing these shoes. They give out a very masculine vibe don't you think? Feminine masculine vibe? They're also like these retro tap dancing shoes. Hahaha.

So the story behind my new favorite bracelet is that I used to have one similar to this - big, chunky, black leather, steel, I wish I had a picture of it - which I wore ALL THE TIME. Constantly. Everwhere I go. It was the one thing I never not wear, at anytime. Then of course, one day I lose it somehow, somewhere and since my friends is always playing with it all the time, they were pretty devastated too (quite literally - it was everyone's fidget toy in class). So for my birthday, one of my best friend bought me this which she thought would be a good replacement and I agree! I've been looking for a replacement everywhere and I can't believe she found a perfect one! So lots of love for her :)

Sorry if I haven't really been posting much content over the last couple weeks. I'm getting very busy with school work so I'll try my best to post (good posts) everyday.

That Can't Be True.
