Yeah, This One's The Sphynx.

The Sphynx: (also known as Canadian Hairless ) a rare breed of cat known for its lack of a coat.

Today was actually quite warm, so I didn't dress too warmly. I finally wore my big ribbon headband, and paired it with my brown fuzzy boots (birthday gift from my best friend, Chi) which I LOVE. They're warm and comfortable and snug and everything you'd ever want for fuzzy boots.

(Zara blouse, Zara blue jeans, unbranded bow headband, unbranded fuzzy boots)

Heading off to Ha Long Bay tomorrow. For those of you who don't know, it's one of the new seven wonders of the world! It should be quite chilly so I need to find something warm to wear.

Ciao,
Tammie.

Berry Darling Indeed.

Berry: any of numerous small and pulpy edible fruits; used as desserts or in making jams and jellies and preserves.
The weather just gets cooler and cooler. I really need to get me some more winter wear clothes because what I've been wearing so far never gets me quite that warm yet. The socks I wore today is a birthday present from a friend of mine (Andrea Curcio - on featured looks a couple times) and I think they give the look that little push since I'm just wearing solid colors with the other pieces.

(Zara woman coat, mom's dress, knit tights, unbranded knee socks, unbranded boots)

I really look like a 12 year old. Hahahaha.

Don't ask me why I like to tuck my hair in my coats like that. I really want to cut my hair that short, but I look so much younger with it. Maybe a lot shorter than that? Anyways, I changed the color of my nails (finally) since the old color was starting to chip away is all gone. This is also my birthday present from Andrea; O.P.I nail polish called That's Berry Darling which is berry darling indeed ;)

Ciao,
Tammie.

Little Red Riding Coat.

Modem: (from a combination of MOdulate and DEModulate) electronic equipment consisting of a device used to connect computers by a telephone line.

I didn't actually wear my heels to school today, but I bought the socks so that I could wear them with these heels. So for the sake of the photos, I changed my boots to my black wedges instead.

(Thrift red coat, Zara black shorts, black tights, Sox gallery red long socks, Aldo wedges)

I had my collar up like this when I was at school, and it acted like a scarf pretty much.
To my suprise, the outfit really did a good job of keeping me warm today. It was about 11 degrees sometime during the day and I wasn't feeling THAT cold. So that's good.

One thing I'm really excited for this week is that my dad is changing my internet modem so now it'll be much faster! Posting will just be that much easier, and since I was blogging in Jakarta (so I know how fast it was to upload pictures - it takes FOREVER here, quite literally) I was getting used to getting things done really fast.

Getting colder here,
Tammie.

Wishlist #1 - Leopard Wedges

Quick Update:
So I've had my eye on leopard wedges for a while and I could not find any ANYWHERE in Jakarta. So after a while I gave up looking, but then... I went to Hong Kong.

We were looking for Tory Burch flats (which I also found), and I found these leopard wedges on SALE. We were in Lane Crawford and were looking in the shoes section when I came across these adorable Stuart Weitzman (www.stuartweitzman.com) leopard wedges/boots for HALF PRICE. So naturally I bought it. Of course, with shoes-on-sale there is a price. It was the last pair for my size so I had to get the one on display. The one on display was faded and you could  tell it was in a worn-out condition... but the other which was in the box was fine. So now I have a pair of shoes that are the same but different.

I'll post the real shoes soon but here is what they look like, and remember I got them for half price.

They're not platforms - I would've loved platform wedges - but oh well, I didn't want to push my luck seeing that I couldn't find them anywhere else.

Excited,
Tammie.

The Only One in the Family Who Can't Work A Camera.

Ordeal: a severe or trying experience.

So the story behind the title is that no one else was in the house and my usual photographer (my sister) is still at school - I came home early 'cause I was done with my exams, except my mom. So my mom offered to take the pictures for me, and let's just say it took us a while to take the only a few good pictures I got out of the whole ordeal. Nothing a little photoshop can't fix.

I paired my new combats with a dress this time. I got this dress from the boyfriend's sister and I love it! It's a chiffon dress with white lace on top and polkadots for the skirt. I wanted to try the combats with floral dresses but I'll do that next time.

(Thrift chiffon dress, Forever 21 belt and Thrift combats)

And also how good would a red dress look with those flowers on the background? Been itching to get my hands on a good red dress for a while now.

Crazy about these combats,
Tammie.

I Need Some Dirt On My Boots.

Blister: get blistered; "Her feet blistered during the long hike".

I finally got a pair of combat boots (made in China cheap knock-offs - but it does the trick) and wore them out today for the first time. It was really rainy and I was on a motorbike, so it ended up being really splattered with dirt, which I thought added to the grungy look more. The whole outfit gave a really masculine vibe - probably from the shoes, the boyfriend blazer and the bag.

(Cotton On Blazer, Zara white basic tee, Forever 21 Acid Wash Skinnies, Thrift Combat Boots)

Sorry - really washed out here from the flash.

Them zippers on the side, and a bit of heels there.

DIRT SMUDGE! So grungy. HAHAHHA. Sarcasm there, if you didn't catch it.
I think the boots were a good buy and I'm definitely going to be wearing them a lot with different things to experiment. The leather really gave my feet one hell of a blister (on both) though. The stitchings on one side really dug in when I walked.

Look out for other outfits paired with these combats!

Blistered from the cheap shoes,
Tammie.

Prints and Solids... Again?

Layer: A single thickness of some material covering a surface.

I've always wanted to pull the socks-over-tights look, but just never did for some reason... Now, because I finally have the polka-dot tights, I can pull this off because it'll be sheer enough to create the layer look.

I think I'm playing with prints and solids again here. To tone down the skirt and the tights (the clashing patterns), I had the socks/boots and the coat. So solids and prints!

I also finally wore my owl earrings and the Marc Jacobs earrings a friend gave me as a gift:

It has a gold heart charm and the statue of liberty. Very New York (which was where she got it).

Bling owl earrings. Yeah.
My mom also gave me a new bag with Batik patterns on it which I love because it's really Indonesian-pridesesque, hahaha!
Looks like a pillow. That red, silky "Merry Christmas" pillow is so out of place there. Haha.
ITS CHRISTMAS SOON!
I just had yoga so I'm SUPER sleepy and tired but I can't sleep or anything because of mid-terms studying. And I REALLY do need to study.

EXAMS HARDCORE CRAMMING STUDYING TIME,
Tammie.

Paddington the Fashion Bear

Paddington Bear: Paddington Bear is a series of British animated shorts based on the Paddington Bear book series by Michael Bond produced by FilmFair. This was the first television series based on the popular children's book Paddington Bear.

Guess who I'm channeling with this look?

I am wearing:
1. Red coat found in shop downtown
2. Fedora from Bangkok
3. Blue skinnies from Gaudi
4. Black ankle boots from Zara
5. Messenger bag from Fedora

PADDINGTON THE BEAR! WOOP.

I remember when I was young and on a holiday with my mom, to Hong Kong... She left me in the hotel all by myself because she went out to go get us some food and I stayed behind because it was raining. The only children show that was on was paddington the bear.
This coat, which I bought today, reminded me so much of him and that memory! So yes, an outfit tribute to Paddington the Bear who kept me company in Hong Kong that gloomy, rainy, lonely night (melodramatic huh?).

Old and New

Old: (used especially of persons) having lived for a relatively long time or attained a specific age.

I've unearthed my old top from Zara which I thought would go together with my new heels :)

Pardon my retarded head (was going to write hair.. but then that was not the only thing that was retarded, so yeah my whole head).

Had a busy weekend, and you can see the exhaustion from my face and hair. I also love that skirt I'm wearing which I bought in a thrift store here called Tracy's. It's got marilyn monroe prints on them.

My mom also got me a new pair of boots downtown. They're very cute :) Thanks mom :)

MUST. UPDATE. FALL/WINTER. WARDROBE.

Wardrobe: A wardrobe usually referes to a complete set of clothing consisting of multiple items. Generally referring to the males clothing needs. A wardrobe will usually consist of suits, slacks, shirts and shoes both casual and formal.
I CANNOT wait to go to Singapore. Well, first and foremost, of course because of the THIMUN conferences. Got to make time to make the world a better place. Ha! The approved resolutions do get sent to New York to be reviewed.

Aside from that though, I NEED SOME NEW CLOTHES. Okay, I may not need new clothes, I have plenty already... I want? I need me some assymetrical dresses, checked/plaid dresses, brown belts, boots, scarves, COATS, clogs.. I wonder if I'll be able to get some good bargains...

Here are some inspirations for my fall wardrobe:

Some Jacquard dresses... These are absoultely adorable

and I need me some ankle boots.

Those heels are gorgeous.

How can I buy all these on a tight budget?? I can't wait to graduate and get a good (well-paid) job.

Saving up,
Tammie.

Navy Blue.

Navy blue: a dark blue color.

This was an outfit I quickly put on the other day and went to school with it.

Those pants are getting so tight I swear I'm blocking off my blood circulation from the top-half to the rest of my body.

Those boots are a keeper. Zara boots are well comfortable!

Ciao,
Tammie

Sweater Dress?

Pullover: A sweater that is put on by pulling it over the head.

Well. After finding out what the definition of sweater is, which is a crocheted or knitted garment covering the upper part of the body. Okay.. My "sweater" is obviously not crocheter nor is it knitted. Whoops. So I decided to do a definition of a pullover instead, which seems to make more sense.

This outfit I put together by pulling a "pullover" over a strapless dress.

I think I can wear this outfit to school. Probably minus the heels. Maybe boots as substitute instead.

Ciao,
Tammie
